Our new HQ

We’re excited to announce the soft opening of our new home in Collingwood. Thanks once again to support from James Richardson PTY LTD we have leased a space in the heart of Collingwood, just off Victoria Parade.

By day the space is filled with light and life. Plants crawl up the warehouse frame, nestled in pots painted by our members at one of our Conscious Craft Club member events. There's wheel chair access for the mats, as well as an accessible bathroom. Changing cubicles offer everyone full privacy while changing, and there's a brand new shower to use after class. At night, intentional LED up-lighting gently illuminates the space without sensory overload. Our new grounding room has all the features of the old one - fidget toys, cocoons, weighted blankets, yoga mats, tissues - and it has natural light so now there's the grounding presence of plants.

We went from securing the planning permit to opening our doors in 3 weeks. We have lots of helpers to thank for making this happen so quickly:

  • James Richardson PTY LTD for the space
  • Naked Construction Co for the fit out
  • Shepherd Logistics for helping us move
  • Joyful Painting for painting the walls
  • Zebras Australia for the grappling mats
  • All the volunteers who helped with the move

Another exciting feature of the new space is we have have a therapy office with it's own little waiting room so that we can offer therapy onsite. Therapists will be able to see clients in the office then bring them out to the mats to hit bags or pads while they talk. If you're a therapist looking to rent a room, please reach out.

Classes are now staggered, with a 15 minute change-over period to reduce interruptions and ensure we can greet everyone when they arrive. The space is secured with an electronic keypad so that only members can enter the space. As always, classes are by appointment only as drop-ins don't work within a trauma-informed framework.

With classes running 6 days a week, it's a great time to get started.
