Trauma-informed kickboxing for trans and gender diverse people
Conscious Combat Club is facilitated on Wurundjeri Country and we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of this land, the people of the Kulin Nations.
Who is this program for?
Our mission is to disrupt gender-based violence by supporting victim-survivors. That's why we run women's classes. Trans and gender-diverse people are also impacted by gendered violence, and like women, are often excluded from combat sport spaces.
That's why we run this special program. So that trans and gender-diverse people can benefit from trauma-informed kickboxing.
What is trauma-informed kickboxing?
Trauma-informed kickboxing is a program designed by an exercise scientist in collaboration with psychologists to make learning kickboxing more accessible. In addition to learning kickboxing, participants learn to connect to their bodies, use emotion regulation techniques and set boundaries.
